Kaleidoscope transports the listener into a world of shimmering colors and intricate patterns. The music explores different textures and harmonies that shift and rotate like the glass beads within a kaleidoscope. Sections of the piece are characterized by their contrasting colors and moods, ranging from vibrant and energetic to serene and contemplative. The kaleidoscope theme is woven throughout, guiding the listener through a continuous exploration of musical motifs that twist and turn, creating new perspectives with each turn of phrase. Kaleidoscope was commissioned by Hannah Batsford, Hannah Hickman, and Hannah Moore.
