Nectar - solo double second steel pan

Nectar is the first piece I wrote for solo steel pan. I had been composing for a couple of years and had been playing pan for several years longer, but had never attempted to write a solo piece for my instrument. For Nectar, I wanted to write something that simply relished in the dulcet tones of the pan. I started with a favorite short arpeggio of mine and intuitively wrote from there. The result is a sweet and at times melancholic short piece that showcases the subtleties of the double seconds.
