See the Circle is an etude-like exploration of microtonality within an equal temperament soundscape. One pianist uses both a standard piano as well as a MIDI keyboard that has been (de)tuned in a specific way, using both quarter flats and one quarter sharp. Utilizing mixed accents, constant sustain, and a variety of tuplets, the piece moves between the two tuning systems, sometimes abruptly and at other times gradually, to create a mixed-tonality soundscape.
